Crete Creative
Gallery & School

I volunteer as the youngest Gallery Board member on the Classroom Committee for the Crete Creative Gallery. Because funding for the arts are always being undermined in the public school system, it's my mission to keep art accessible through hosting free kids and teen art classes at the gallery.

"The Crete Creative Gallery space is designed and dedicated to showcase artists from both near and far. We believe that culture and the arts should be available to everyone. Talent is not reserved for big cities, neither is a love, an interest, or a passion for the arts."

About

The Crete Creative Gallery, a non-profit organization, hosts a variety of exhibits, live performances, and affordable art classes centered around making art more fun and accessible to the public!

Location: The historic Arbor House, 1304 Main Street, Crete, IL 60417 - just a short walk from Heritage Park and downtown shopping district!

Community

Outside of the gallery walls, our volunteers work to bring free crafts to children in (and around) our community while teaching bite-sized lessons on art history! These events give children the opportunity to express themselves and experiment with various styles and mediums without making a mess at home!
